This Bronze pole-tip ornament with turquoise inlay was excavated in the Hsi Pei Kang site. The pole was used for the connection of the ancient Chinese chariot. The uses of the bronze pole-tip ornament were not only protection but also decoration. Besides its unique outlook, the ornament was even brought out in inlaid turquoise. Through this artifact, we can appreciate the technical art and aesthetics of the Shang civilization.
