The battleship "Bismarck"

Tags: battleship | craft

Named after Germany's first Prime Minister, Otto Von Bismarck, who coined the phrase "blood and iron," this Germany battleship was launched in 1939 at the outset of the Second World War. In a very famous sea battle that lasted several days, the Bismarck's steering gear was crippled by British warships, and she was finally sunk by 3 torpedoes on May 27, 1941.  (Original source:The Fighting Ship)
