Zhou, Late Spring and Autumn Period

Made with sapphire and white jade, this artifact was broken in two upon excavation and later restored to its original circular shape. With a hole in its middle, this artifact is shaped like a small Bi, but there is an opening on one side. The original substance is faintly visible on the surface. Both sides of this artifact are polished and pattern-less; on its surface there are wood-lie traces, as well as black and cinnabar water spots. It opening is long and narrow, its outer side a little wider than the inner side. The hole and its peripheral somewhat incline and its section is a little uneven.
