Are We Saving Them or Ourselves? Global Action on the Rescue of Endangered Biodiversity

On April 4, 2009, on the forum of MediaTek Lectures, Dr. Peter H. Raven will give a talk regarding the perilous state of the global biodiversity (http://www.civictaipei.org/activity/meat/135.html). Dr. Raven is one of the world’s leading botanists and advocates of conservation and biodiversity. He is the President of the Missouri Botanical Garden and a member of the Academy of Sciences in 21 countries; in addition, he is on the Advisory Committee of the Biodiversity Research Center of Academia Sinica in Taiwan. The venue is National Central Library Conference Hall in Taipei.
