Kuniaki Kuroki’s “Half Century” of Glass Art: A Taiwan-Japan Exchange Exhibition
Mr. Kuniaki Kuroki is the founder of modern glass art in Japan. Ever since he started working for the Yamaya Glass Company in his youth, Kuroki has been fascinated by the exquisiteness and beauty of glass. With decades of hard work and dedication, Kuroki has successfully integrated traditional Japanese aesthetics and Western glass craft, creating a unique and peerless world of glass. His artwork has been added to major museum collections around the world. Through March 31, 2013, National Museum of History in Taipei is hosting the exhibition (http://www.nmh.gov.tw/en-us/Exhibition/Content.aspx?Para=0|22|719&unkey=53) so that not only the public gets the chance to meet the artist, but local glass artists can have the opportunity to learn from him.
