Warm up and Soar beyond Solo Exhibition by Jenny Zhe Chang

Jenny Zhe Chang is a Chinese artist residing in Australia. Inspired by everyday experiences and things, Chang specializes in transforming and integrating reality to reconstruct new ways of reading and forming abstract concepts or symbolic meanings. Comprised of 7 spatial installation works and mainly based on competitive sports equipment such as hurdle fences, table tennis rackets, and baseball bats, the exhibition transforms the Museum of Contemporary Art Studio in Taipei into various competitive arenas. Stilled objects, competition system, surrounding ambiance are designed and constructed by the artist to allow viewers to wander amidst these different objects/symbols and to take on the role as a truly mobile subject. The closing day of the exhibition (http://www.mocataipei.org.tw/blog/post/28389588) is March 3, 2013.
