Cypraea vitellus (白星寶螺)

1. Habitat spans from the lower intertidal zone to the sub-tidal zone. 2. The surface of this shell carries a mark indicating itself to be a Horikawa specimen taken from Keelung. 3. Before the currency was standardized in the Qing dynasty, shells were used as money, with Cypraea being the most common.
