Eco-Photo of the Paradise Fish (Macropodus opercularis) 蓋斑鬥魚
The paradise fish prefers to inhabit ditches, ponds, and rice fields. It feeds on plankton and larvae, and can therefore effectively control mosquito larvae and other insect hazards. When spawning, the male fish blows out bubbles to make a nest, and afterwards attaches the eggs beneath it and cares for its young until they can live on their own.
