God of Wealth of the Five Directions

Tags: blessing | god | print

The God of Wealth is dressed in the ceremonial robe of a civil servant and stands in the middle with a joyous expression. One of his hands unfolds a tapestry with the words Wu Lu Jin Cai (Good Fortune Can Come from Anywhere), while his other hand holds a ruyi (a decorative object that symbolizes good fortune). He is surrounded by five children, each carrying objects symbolizing wealth and riches, including a yao qian shu (a tree from which money falls when shaken), and a wagon filled with treasures and gold ingots, indicating good fortune, happiness, and festiveness.
