Ching Dynasty Battleship

Tags: battleship | craft

This model of a Ching Dynasty battleship was meticulously constructed by one of Belgium's most famous scale model builders, Mr. Pauwels, after years of research. The hull is carved from a single piece of wood, and is fully rigged, exhibiting exquisite attention to detail. On deck are 30 hand-carved wooden figures representing Chinese sailors of the period.
