Taiwan International Video Art Exhibitions

Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts cooperated with Hong-Gah Museum and Chew's Culture Foundation in holding the large biennial exhibition of video art in southern Taiwan (http://www.kmfa.gov.tw/KMFAENG/home02.aspx?ID=$1003&IDK=2&EXEC=L&DATA=674&AP=$1003_HISTORY-0^$1003_PN-1). Connecting the two themes of the first and second Taiwan International Video Art Exhibitions, "Dwelling Place" and "Eattopia" planned by Chen Yung-Hsien and Sean C. S. Hu, this exhibition selected from the two exhibitions a total of 55 video works—ranging from as short as 58 seconds to as long as 58 minutes—from over 20 countries. The Museum hopes that this first presentation of numerous artists and all-video exhibition format will revitalize its exhibition traditions, while also introduce the viewers of the Kaohsiung area to new contemporary art forms and works. The closing day is September 9, 2012.
