NOW and WHEN: Australian Urbanism

The exhibition at Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (http://www.kmfa.gov.tw/KMFAENG/home02.aspx?ID=$1003&IDK=2&EXEC=L&DATA=667&AP=$1003_HISTORY-0^$1003_PN-1) is a major project of the Australian Institute of Architects. It was the Australian Exhibition at the 12th International Architecture Exhibition, Venice Biennale 2010. The exhibition features images of some of Australia’s most thought provoking urban and non-urban regions as they are “NOW”, before dramatically representing futuristic urban environments as they may be “WHEN” we reach 2050 and beyond. Using ground-breaking 3D stereoscopic technology, of which Australia is now the forefront, it showcases the Australian architectural imagination, allowing visitors to move around a range of existing and hypothetical urban environments. The exhibition’s closing day is August 12, 2012.
