The purpose was to demonstrate a conservation application using the collection of distribution records in our digital archive of Taiwan’s endemic bird species, species only occurring in Taiwan.  In this demonstration, you can view the multimedia characteristics of 17 avian species in Taiwan and the predictive distribution.  Finally we show the hotspots, the critical conservation concern areas, using a GIS (geographic information system).
