Reincarnation-Art Song by Li Tai-Hsiang

I.    Lyrics (translated from Chinese)

This is an old story already. It can only be composed to be an old song.
With cold melody. Slow tempo.
In the story, some people love and some people are loved.
This is not really a fresh topic. People sing and then will forget again.
Shallow lyrics. Light Melody.
In the music, some people come and some people leave.
For worldly wisdom, it is only a light reincarnation.
As if in each dark night, tiredly goes into sleep.
Have a dream in a trance. And turn the body over unconsciously.
In the dream, some people die and some people are born.

Lyrics written by Chung Li-Chih (鐘籬之)

II.    About this Song
Exposition of the music:
The music was composed from Chung Li-Chih’s poet; it deplores the regrets for the past of time.
The music presents various moods with different texture and speed of accompaniment. The female students of Li Tai-Hsiang all tried this song successively. Hsu Ching Chun (Christine Hsu) was chosen at last to perform this song because her tone quality matched the music style most closely.
