This rice threshing bucket was an important tool for farming, therefore a valuable artifact for researchers of traditional agricultural practices. The container, traditionally called a 'cutting bucket', was used to separate the grain from the straw at the time of rice harvest. This complete set includes a bucket, a threshing rack, a paddy knife and knife basket, all simple and traditional in design. Sets such as this are rare and valuable to preserve as examples of Taiwan's traditional farming tools.
