Function/Purpose:    A magnetic telephone with a crank handle (called a starting handle). Turning this crank can make coils cut the magnetic field to generate inductive current that can ring the bell at the destination site. The speed, time duration, and rotation number of the cranks can decide the strength, length, and number of ringing sounds. The transmitter and receiver are separated, making it necessary for the user to put the receiver by his ear and talk with his mouth close to the transmitter. This type of telephone is suitable for residences, businesses, and other organizations.
