The Apidae are a large family comprising the common honey bees, stingless bees, carpenter bees, orchid bees, bumble bees, and various other less well-known groups. Many plants are pollinated by Apidae. Without bees many crops are difficult to the produce. Specimens of this family are kept in cabinets 129-130.
