| The Flat Bark Beetles |
Cucujids are big and extremely flattened beetles. Such a flattened body is adapted to living under tree barks. Larvae and adults are predacious. They prey for small animals which they can find. Ten species of the genus have been described, of which three occur in Taiwan.
