Scientific name:Agehana maraho (Shiraki & Sonan) The Broad-tailed Swallowtail Butterfly is the imago of large-sized swallowtail. Its forewings are blackish-brown in color. A large white spot can be seen at the discal area and its proximity of each of the hind wings, with a red crescent-shaped pattern lining the edge of hind wings. The most distinct characteristic of this butterfly species is its extraordinarily broad red tail, which runs through the third and fourth veins of its wings.
