Main title: Beliefs and Superstitions Creator: Kanori Ino Description: This is Kanori Ino’s systematic concept on the beliefs and superstitions of the Han people Collection: Manuscripts of Kanori Ino
This is Kanori Ino’s, a Japanese anthropologist, systematic concept on the beliefs and superstitions of the Han people. In this illustration, Kanori Ino divides the system of beliefs and superstitions into two categories—subject and object. The former refers to gods and ghosts whose existence displays the characteristics of a subject; the latter refers to rituals, sacrifices, and divination, whose existence needs to be executed. Kanori Ino also created a very detailed categorization by type.
