It could respond the special culture categories through the usages of plant. Shennong tasted the majority of herbs and classified their usages, Tsai-Lun innovated paper, You-Chao-Shi built a wooden nest, which represents the historical application and usage of plants. Nowadays, industrialisation and commercialism bring huge change on life style and usage of nature resources. Archaic method of plant usages disappeared in every social strata. Endangered plant life should be preserved before it is gone for good. Those research records on how our ancestors used plants could provide a key insight into our modern aspects on preservation. Through new technology, we testify, use and spread the knowledge via science on the applications of plants. Through this garden, we hope to draw attention to our ancestors’ knowledge of plant usage and hence popularize it.
