Tags: blessing | god | print | Wu Lu Shen

“The five directions” refer to east, west, south, north, and the center, which implies that you can gain fortune wherever you go. Wu Lu Shen, also known as Wu Lu Cai Shen (God of Wealth of the Five Directions), is commonly referred to in the south as Lu Tou Shen (God of the Smooth Path). In the Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas, the custom is for businesspeople to open their businesses on January 5th (Chinese lunar calendar). Before dawn that day they pray to Lu Tou Shen, hoping for a thriving business and for the acquisition of wealth from all sources.
