The Battleship "Wasa"

Tags: battleship | craft

Wasa was a 1,400 ton Swedish warship built in Stockholm for King Gustavus Adophus. Her only ornaments were snarling lion heads set on a blood-red background at each gunport, and an immense lion figurehead. She was salvaged in 1961 and preserved in Beckholmen , Sweden .
