Tags: Cyclophorus formosensis | shell

The dextral shell of the Cyclophorus formosensis is a yellowish brown color, with reddish brown stripes in zigzags. The body whorl is also covered with patterned bands. Its peripheral margin has no edge; alternatively, only the front 1/3 of the body whorl has indistinct edges. The apex is big and round. Whorls are smooth without indentions. The umbilicus is deep and partially covered by the lip. The coloration of the out-turning lip ranges from white to light orange. The round, honey-yellow, and translucent operculum indents into the shape of a funnel, with a mastoid process inside.
