Innovation & Re-creation: Selected Works from the NTMoFA Young Artist Collection

The “Young Artist Collection” project of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung was initiated in 2003. As of 2012, the project has collected 676 works by 456 artists. By taking innovation and re-creation as essential elements in the young artists’ creative process, this exhibition (http://www.ntmofa.gov.tw/english/ShowInfomation_1.aspx?SN=3710&n=10135) aims to draw a clearer picture of the uniqueness and significance manifested in the selected works. The exhibition, which will end on April 7, 2013, selected 69 pieces of work by respective artists and divided the work into 4 sub-themes: “A Shout through Youth: Lovable Characters and Social Critique,” “A Reflection on Self and Others: Finding a Place in Society,” “An Alternative Landscape: Space, Mind and Imagery” and “A Writing of Small Things in Art: Playing with Content and Form.”
