Eco-Photo of the Marbled Eel (Anguilla marmorata) 鱸鰻
The marbled eel is a fish that carries out downstream migration, and it grows up in the river feeding on benthic species. It can live in the river for up to 10 years. During the autumn and winter periods, marble eels follow the stream downward into the sea where they spawn. After hatching, the young drift to the river opening and transform into transparent elvers.
