Lu has a BA in Literature at University of Glasgow, Scotland and a MA in Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he is now currently doing his PhD studying. Lu is currently a full-time lecturer at Department of Theatre Arts, National Sun Yat-Sen University. And he used to teach at Department of Drama and Theatre of National Taiwan University, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of National Chi-Nan University, Department of English Language, Literature and Linguistics of Providence University, Department of English of National Pingtung University of Education and Department of Applied English Language of Fortune Institute of Technology. He has served as Artistic Director of Tainan Jen Theatre since January, 2003. His directing credits include, The Greek Tragedy, Antigone (2001), The Witch Sonata, Macbeth(2003), End Game (2004), and so forth.
