Digital Archives Project For The Liao-Chin-Yuan Rubbings (Academia Sinica)Type Collection Collection Identifier c0510 Description Among the collections of the Fu-Ssu-Nien Library of the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica, there are approximately 2200 pieces of rubbings of the Liao, Chin and Yuan dynasties. The majority of the collections are about 1500 pieces of Yuan (1260-1368) rubbings. The rest include 200 pieces of Liao (907-1125), 500 pieces of Chin (1115-1234) and few of His-Hsia rubbings. They contain epitaphs, inscribed scripture, Buddhist inscriptions, poetry, Taoism, Buddhism, sacred edicts and so on. Not only are they valuable historical relics, but some of them are better in quality than their counterparts found in other libraries.
