These copies were first taken and preserved in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology (now the Department of Anthropology) of National Taiwan University. In 1997, part of the collection was transferred to National Taiwan University Library. They were then moved to the Special Collections Department in the Main Library when it first opened in 1998. However, only some of the rubbings were moved, and thus the whole collection is stored separately in various locations today.
