Description The content covers historical documents of internal and external affairs and major construction projects of the National Government of the Republic of China, a total of 16,,942 volumes in 21 categories, and covering the time period from July, 1925 to June, 1949. Detailed documentation is available for all sorts of major national policies and announcements, and has important scholarly value. The National Government Files currently in the collection were relocated here from the Office of the President, Republic of China(Taiwan)in five batches from August, 1961 to December, 1996. We have reorganized and cataloged the content of the files according to the National Files Classification System, into the following categories: general, accounting and statistics, personnel, administration, internal affairs, diplomacy, defense, finance, education, judiciary, economics, transportation, public health, news, and others; a total of 7,086 volumes are allocated into 7,086 catalog entries, and scanned into 1,134,746 pages of image files. The search system can search all cataloged contents, and image files corresponding to 2,467 catalog entries (approximately 350,000 pages) are initially released for public viewing and searching. Size
