The yellow color of sulfur, ease to burn and unique odour are the conspicuous features of sulfur. Natural sulfur mostly occurs near eruption craters of volcanoes. Chihsinshan volcanoes of the Tatun Volcanic Group are the major sulfur producing localities in Taiwan, and hold a prominent seat in the history of sulphur production in Taiwan.
