Tags: bronzes | cloisonne | vessel

This enameled bronze jar has curled lips, thick neck, slant shoulder, closing body, and broad feet. Two dragon-shaped ears stretch from its shoulder to neck. This artifact is slender and entirely enameled except its mouth, upper shoulder, upper body, and broad feet. The enamel is primarily powder blue, interspersed with red and yellow. The body is primarily in dragon and phoenix patterns, contrasted by flower patterns, goat-head patterns, longevity patterns, and black dragon patterns. This artifact serves as a gift on birthdays and symbolized good fortune.
