Ampelophaga rubiginosa myosotis 臺灣葡萄天蛾
This species is endemic to Taiwan. The origin of its type specimen is Wulai, Taipei County, and its main host plants are of the Vitaceae family. The overall color of this species is rather dim, while the top of its forewings is light gray, formed by the mix of a bit of purple and light-brown. There is a light-colored horizontal band at the top of its forewings. Therefore, it is often mistaken for the A. r. rubiginosa. However, the A. r. myosotis has a white line on its back extending only from the head to the mesonotum or the metanotum.
