Ampelophaga formosana 臺灣缺角天蛾
The currently valid name for the A. formosana is Acosmeryx formosana. This species is endemic to Taiwan, while the origin of its type specimen is in Puli, Nantou County. Its main host plants belong to the genus Vitis of the Vitaceae family. It has taupe forewings with an indistinct blue sheen. There is no obvious horizontal band, but a blurry wide brown band extends from the front edge to the rear end. The dark-brown inner side of the sub-outer edges on the reverse side of the forewings is wavy, the inside of which is a large reddish-brown mottle. The hind wings are similar to the forewings.
