Acosmeryx castanea 缺角天蛾
Records of this species have been found in Taiwan, Japan, China, and South Korea. The place of origin of its type specimens is Kanagawa prefecture, in Honshu, Japan. Its main host plants are from the Vitaceae family. This species has taupe forewings with a dark triangular mottle at its tip. There is an irregular broad, dark-brown band extending from the center of the edge of the wing to M3. In the sub-outer area, there is a gray white line extending from the tip to Cu1. The hind wings are auburn, and both its outer edging and sub-outer edging are indistinct.
