The Yang Yun-Ping Collection (Academia Sinica)Type Collection Collection Identifier c0523 Description Yang Yun-Ping (1906-2000) is previously known as Yang You-Lian. He published an article on The Taiwan Minpao with the pseudonym “Shih-Lin Yun-Ping Sheng” in 1924, after that he was known as Yun-Ping generally. In 1925, he published “Renren” magazine, the first magazine on vernacular literature in Taiwan, with his friend Jiang Meng-Bi. Yang Yun-Ping’s creation styles were based on the education he received at Bunka Gakuin in Japan with Kawabata Yasunari and Kikuchi Kan’s teachings. After World war II, Yang Yun-Ping dedicated to Taiwan folk custom and history. In 1947, he became a professor at Department of History in National Taiwan University. The database embodies Yang Yun-Ping’s letters and manuscripts from 1929 to about 1981.
