Rare Books (National Palace Museum)Type Collection Collection Identifier c0713 Description The treasured rare books in the Department of Rare Books and Documents of National Palace Museum range from the Song and Yuan dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, amounting to approximately 200,000 volumes. Besides inheriting the old collections of the Qing palace, The Guan Hai Tang Collections purchased in Japan by Yang Shojing during the late Qing, the rare and ancient books of the Beiping Library handed over to the museum by the Ministry of Education in 1985, and a portion of recent donations and purchases are all part of the archive. This database includes images an metadata arranged according to the connecting structure of series"- "volume"- "image."
